-St.Wea brought in five teachers who have been recently hired, to speak to UWP students
about their experiences.
The new teachers were a hit. Many people attended the event both member and non. Great questions were asked of the teachers and much discussion resulted. We are so thankful for receiving an NEA grant to pay for this event. Thank you
teachers!
-Dr. Leitch discussed effective ways to manage a classroom. The focal point was how to handle confrontations, and potentially dangerous situations. Dr. Leitch was very experienced and used comical role-playing to accent the point. THANKS DR. LEITCH!
-Our President Tracy Davis held a training seminar for the PPST. Current members were given a free training booklet! We discussed everything from test dates to test anxiety! We had a good turnout and many great questions. Thank you for your participation. THANKS Pres. Tracy Davis!
